Biography

Eleonora Lutsky — violinist of Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, a graduate of St. Petersburg State Conservatory.

Born in Ukraine in a family of music lovers.

Eleanora’s performing talent, delicate musical taste and ambition proved themselves in childhood. For the first time, she played two solo concerts with an orchestra at the age of 14. At the same age, she became the winner of the competition for performing string musical instruments among students of music colleges in Ukraine.

Eleonora successfully graduated from the St. Petersburg State Conservatory, famous for its world-class performing school.

The academic nature of education does not in the least limit the stylistic diversity of Eleanor’s repertoire. She masterfully performs both classical masterpieces by Bach, Vivaldi, Mozart, as well as modern compositions by Thomas Ades, jazz by Gershwin and Ellington or Argentine tango.

For more than 20 years, Eleonora has performed with the world-famous Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, nurtured by conductor and lifelong artistic director Zubin Mehta.

She had the opportunity to perform with an orchestra on the most prestigious stages in the world: Carnegie Hall, Colon Theater in Buenos Aires, Musikverein in Vienna, La Scala in Milan and many others.

Her resume includes performances as a soloist with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as with the Jerusalem Radio and Television Symphony Orchestra and the 21st Century Ensemble, which performs contemporary music.

Over the past seasons, Eleonora Lutskaya’s performances with her fellow musicians have included works from the past three centuries. Such a breadth of repertoire and versatility of performance have earned recognition and success from the public.

The IPO musical trio also invites you to participate in the exciting project «Musical Adventures»: together with a theater actor, we invite you to get acquainted with music through participation in a light and entertaining production. It combines music and theatrical performance, during which children get acquainted with the basics of classical music genres and instruments of the orchestra.
